Okay, apparently 86% of you are going to be disappointed when I say this. I've decided against auditioning for American Idol. I do appreciate everyone who supported me to audition tho, and I was really considering it. The reason i'm not going to is that i don't want to be branded with "American Idol" contestant later on in my life. I mean think about it, would you really have taken madonna as seriously if she had been on American Idol? The Idols have a certain place in stardom, and then they're gone. But their whole lives they're going to be recognized as that girl who got booted off in the so and so week after singing such and such a song, she really sucked. So im not going to jade my reputation this early with that. Even if I won (which is VERY unlikely) I would be super-famous for all of about a season, until someone else wins. Can anyone tell me what Rubin is doing now? I sure don't know. I never see him on TV. I never see Justin or Kelly anymore either. And they're not making a movie about Rubin and what's his name. See, I can't even remember his name anymore, but i'd recognize him on the street for being on American Idol. I don't want that! I was going to audition because I think it would be really fun to see what they had to say, but I have to think about the concequences. If I make it to LA, which is the next round after DC i think...then I'd be on TV, possibly. Which means, there goes the reputation. So oh well, I'm sorry about that guys, it would have been really fun. And if Simon ever asked me "Why are you auditioning", what would i say? I would say "I think i'm the best singer in america." I would probly say "Because i wanted to hear your comments about my voice" And that would get me booted right from the start. No fun for America, no fun for Lara. And with that I have to go to work, sorry again guys!
