Wow....Blogger looks new. I wonder if I have comment capabilities anymore. That would suck if i don't. Anyways, I'm back from the beach and it looks like Ersin has completly taken over the comments on my blog. And about Ruchita's party, since yall fought about it on my blog I'll just say this- Boedecker and everyone else who thinks it's perfectly normal to have people disrespect the movie and the host of the party... whenever I have a party we watch a movie at the end of it and NO ONE talks. Maybe they're just scared of me- or maybe, just maybe, it isn't normal to disrespect the host during their party. (Wink wink Ruchita, I think maybe he'll figure it out). ANYWAYS, the BEACH! Alright, so, the traffic to the beach was absolutely horrendous...it took us 6 hours and it usually takes us 3. When we got there we went to the mall, bought stuff at their huge organized Forever 21 (it's like a dream come true yo!) and went to Chili's for dinner. The next day the family and Christina and I attempted the beach but it was about 60 degrees and cloudy- reminded me all too much of Cape Henlopen. So we went to the boardwalk, found Scott Church a going away present (he left for Boot Camp yesterday!!!! No more prom king! it really sucks, I wish I could have said goodbye to him) and walked along the beach. That night Christina and I attempted to see Finding Nemo but we had to leave about 15 minutes into the movie because Christina got sick- and she thought that the movie theatre temperature was about 30 degrees, where as I was quite comfortable. I sped our asses home (all time record, according to my Godfather Ray) and Christina was talking about going to the Hospital but we decided that would be more trouble than it was worth. So we got her home, took her temperature- 103. Ugh. She laid down, and I became her nurse. Mmmmm, nurse. That's why I never want to be a nurse. Every hour or two she would change from extremely cold to extremely hot, and I would have to take blankets on and off, turn on/off fan, open/close vents in the room, continuously got more and more ice water, cold washclothes, asprin, tylenol, etc. I didn't get good sleep for 2 nights cuz she would wake me up every 2 hours needing something else. I mean it wasn't her fault I'm not blaming her at all, it was just haaaaard stuff. Not used to it. So we didn't get to go to the beach on Monday, we just sat around, watched "Return to Me", I read Harry Potter (870 pages man! Am I a dork or what for running out and buying it the minute I heard it was on the shelves...hahaha). Oh, the guy at the bookstore hit on me! It was cute, he wasn't exactly my type of guy but it was better than the people that started yelling "you're hot" from across the parking lot when I was walking back to my car. I guess I shouldn't wear a tight tank top with that jean skirt of mine when I'm by myself....anyways, I've gotten about a third of the way through the book, it's really good. Yea, so all of Monday was spent trying to get Christina's fever down- Ray and Dana came over and talked to us for a while...or was that Tuesday? See now I can't even remember. So we went to bed that night...and the same thing with the every two hours bit- really starting to wear on me. Tuesday, at about 8 in the morning, she asks me to take her temperature. She had gone from 101 to 105. Time for Urgent Care Clinic. Gran drove us there, we took a really long complicated detour in the process of getting christina treated because she's underage and her parents needed to fax consent. Once we got them to understand what to do they faxed it and Christina and I went into the doctor's office. He diagnosed her with a Kidney Infection! Apparently there are so many ways you can get a Kidney Infection, we haven't the slightest idea how Christina picked hers up. So the nurse gave her a big antibiotic shot in the ass, which Christina says hurt like shit for a really long time, and we were outta there. She had some other antibiotic stuff too, but yea, basically she was gonna be just fine. We went to my uncle's girlfriend's house for dinner, and it was the first time either of us had met her (Christina and I, not me and my Uncle ;) ). She is the COOLEST person! She's got a hottub too, and she's right next to the bay/ocean. She's got a fishing pier and a boat and everything. So we had pasta, and we went out on the pier and took a walk and stuff. It was really nice. We got home, slept, because on Wednesday we ACTUALLY went to the beach! KARAZY! The first time I actually wore my two piece bathing suit in the water. There were dolphins EVERYWHERE, it was absolutely amazing. The dolphins were coming in amazingly close too. Christina and I just went out to where we could barely stand and a dolphin surfaced about three feet away from us. That freaked the hell outta me tho. I love dolphins but I can't stand the fact that I can't see them when they're coming up to me. We did that numerous times, only the dolphins usually stayed about 10-15 feet away. They are such gorgeous animals. There weren't many guys on the beach, there were a couple that were relatively cute but we didn't really bother with them. We just tanned/went in the water. It was SO HOT on the beach! I swear I couldn't go a half hour without going in the water or I thought I was gonna faint. I got a little tiny bit sunburned on my back, but all in all I'm just a slight bit tanner than I was before. Which is an accomplishment for Lara!!! We spent about 5-6 hours on the beach, then we went to the boardwalk and ate dinner. Christina had gotten sunscreen in her eye and she looked like she was crying the entire time. It was rather funny. Then we drove home, hit traffic in 3 places, really pissed me the hell off, and when I finally got home I just came online for about 5 minutes and hit the sack. This traffic was all due to construction where they closed off the right 2 lanes of 3 lane traffic. I was always in the left lane from the start, but it REALLY pisses me off when people just coast in the right lane until it's completely shut off and then just nose their way in all the way at the front of the line. That's what causes the back up in the first place!!!! If everyone would just merge when they first read the sign there would be much less traffic. Grrrr....It was funny because at the first 2 lane close thing a car 2 cars in front of me started driving in the middle of the two lanes so that no one could get by him. Then the car in front of me did it and I did it too. It really saved a lot of time. It was GREAT! I wish more people did that. It took us an hour to get 3 miles. Yes, it was that bad. And plus we had a truck driver hitting on us and trying to get us in his truck. It was interesting. So today, dentist appointment and counseling. Yup. Back to the grind. Except not because I'm going to Ithaca on Sunday for my orientation!!! WOOOOO!!!!
